When you press the brake pedal it puts up a resistance like pulsating makes a noise like something is grinding. When you force the pedal down it feels like it's not going to go down then it will feel like it won't stop you but it always does. We just changed fluid and bled them thinking air in lines but it changed nothing.

Good morning,

Is the ABS yellow light on at the dash?

This sounds like the ABS is activating every time you apply the brakes. The grinding is the unit itself and the pulsation is the ABS as well.

Can you get the codes checked at a parts store to see if there is any codes set? That will tell me the area of failure so I can guide you.

Hi Roy,

Thank you so much for your response. No the ABS light doesn't come on. If you can tell me how to retrieve the codes I will make every effort to do so.

Oh I am sorry, I have a friend who is willing to help me retrieve those codes. He asked about turning the ignition key 3 times? Would this be a way to get to the codes?

You will need a scan tool that can access the ABS system. If you do not have one, a parts store should be able to read them for you for free.

No, not at all. You need a real scan tool that can read the ABS system and retrieve the codes.
