The exhaust has to be removed along with any component interfering with running the line properly. Here are videos to help you make your own line or replace the brake flex hose.

The process is the same in most cases.

Can I just replace a section of the line or run a new route? Without all the hassel?

I would have to change the line starting at the abs mod going back over the engine down connecting to the rest of the good line do you think I will need to disconnect the rest of the lines 1 by 1 just to do this?
