Truck will run fine one minute then the next it like kicks over in limp mode has a big when you are in the throttle and will barely make it up a hill. eventually it will kick back over to normal and run fine, but it will keep doing it.

Hi,

This can be a few things. By chance, do you notice any rattling from the exhaust? I'm questioning it because the catalytic converter may have come loose internally and blocking exhaust from exiting the engine. This will cause a bog and low power. Take a look through this link and let me know if it mirrors what you experience:

Next, we really check to see if there are diagnostic trouble codes stored that may point us in the right direction. This vehicle has an OBD1 system and doesn't require a scan tool to check for codes. Follow the directions in this link:

Let me know your thoughts and if you are able to retrieve codes.

Take care,

Joe
