I am installing Nerf bars on my truck which is already 4” lifted. I have to remove the body mount bolts to put on the Nerf bar frame mounts. I do not have to remove bushings just the bolts on front and rear and both sides. My question is, do I need to jack and support the truck while doing this since I am just removing the bolts putting the frame and inserting new bolts?

Good morning.

No, since you are not removing the bushings, you can just remove the bolts with no worries.

Do you know what the torque specs are to reinstall these bolts? I have been told 60 and others have said 80. Thanks again.
