Purchased vehicle and driver's door lock did not work.
Passenger door locked worked when pushing switch on Driver's door switch panel.
I put in a new actuator, new switch assembly, cleaned the rods and lubricated, and also a new door latch. Checked continuity to the wires and all okay. Checked relays and clicked when switch used and also took out and checked power to relay, okay.
The actuator worked when putting direct current to the wires leading to the actuator both lock and unlock. Breaker works good.
I purchased a fob as it didn't have one and it programed correctly holding both buttons down. The passenger worked but not the driver's side. I kept trying to figure out what was wrong, like checking wires some more and as I kept trying the locks, only the passenger would work and now that does not work, and the fob does not work. The passenger tries to work but the visible manual lock barely moves when using the switch. Fob doesn't do anything now.
Interior lights don't work right, signals don't work right, turn signals don't work right and when turned on the indicator light blinks like normal and when step on brakes they bling really rapidly. Signal lights do not work front or back when I turn them on and go look. The flashers have a very dim light when turned on. Where is the BCM located on this vehicle if I need to take it out. It is an extended cab and short box style pickup I have been working on this for a month trying to figure what is wrong with the wiring and then I read that the BCM could be causing this problem. What would be your advice that I should do?
Thank you and I will be donating for your answers.

Hi Larry,

I looked through the wiring schematic (which is attached below). The schematic is for the door lock circuit / keyless entry circuit.

Since this is limited to the driver's lock only, that indicates power is present. Also, the door lock relays, and door lock receiver share a common ground, so that isn't the likely issue. However, there is a splice before power reaches the switch, so confirm there is power to the orange wire at the switch. Power should be present at all times.

What I did notice is there are several splices in the wiring. See pics below/highlighted Based on the information you provided, I suspect we lost a connection at one of the splices.

The pics below came from a single page. I had to cut the pic in half to make it readable. I did overlap them so you can follow from one to the next.

We need to locate and check the splices. The last pics are the descriptions of the splice locations. Inspect them for corrosion, damage, and broken connectors.

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

joe
