What are the steps involved in removing and replacing the radiator?

Hello

First I need to know is it a Z3 Coupe (E36/7) or a Z3 Roadster 2.5 (E36/7) or a Z3 Roadster 2.8 (E36/7) and I will be glad to send you the info.

Caution:
Danger of scalding
Only open sealing cover on expansion tank when engine has cooled down.

Drain coolant, refer to Cooling System - Service and Repair - Procedures See: Service and Repair
Remove fan cowl, refer to Fan Shroud - Service and Repair - Procedures See: Fan Shroud Service and Repair

Note: When removing the fan cowl, note the engine variant.

Air conditioner
Disconnect plug connection on temperature switch.

Disconnect upper water hose.

Disconnect lower water hose.

Disconnect expansion hose.

Automatic transmission
Remove transmission oil cooler lines, catch transmission oil as it escapes and dispose of correctly.

Installation:
Check transmission oil level and correct if necessary, refer to Transmission and Drivetrain.
Check connection for leaks.

Unfasten left and right radiator mounts by pressing detent down with screwdriver.

Retaining lug for radiator

Installation: Attach retaining lugs in left and right sides of radiator and press down firmly. The detent must engage audibly several times.

Installation: Use screwdriver to locate and lug of radiator mount and to tighten the unit.

Lift radiator upwards (together with intercooler if applicable).
Installation: Place radiator on supports.

Installation: Note rubber mounts on left and right sides.
