My 2003 x5 brake light is on and I am getting a "check brake lining" warning. I already replace the brakes pads and checked the brake fluid how do I reset the light, warning etc without going to the dealership so they can charge $$$$ to do the same thing?

No worries. The brake warning indicator will reset if the sensors are undamaged or if they have been replaced. The way to do this is to turn the key to the run position without starting the engine, and wait for about 30 seconds. It will extinguish the lamp and you will be happy, do you hear, HAPPY! Just kidding.

If this is not working, the possibility is that one of the sensors is in need of replacement, even if it is a brand new sensor, they can go bad(especially the Chinese ones)
