1987 BMW 635 heater blow cold air when driving on highway

My heater works fine when parked or driving on low speed, but blows cold air when I speed up.I have changed the engine thermostat still the same problem. Any ideas

Change the heater control valve. It is located on the firewall. Just take the four Phillips head screws loose on the top and pull out the old one and in with the new one. Part # 64-11-8-390-132. Realoem. Com is a good place to go for parts and exploded views.
