had to put a new gas tank on so my fuel pump had to be removed to do so. I thought that it was put back correctly, but my car will not start. It strted at first and ran for about 5-7 mins, then started to sputter and cut off. At that point something happened that drained the battery. Got the battery recharged to 100% but car still wont turn over

Has the repair facility that did the repair had a chance to recheck their work yet?

He said everything he did works properly. He thinks it the crank shaft sensor. Its just ironic that all of a sudden my "crank shaft sensor" mysteriously stopped working. The car was working fine when I gave it to him, just had a hole in gas tank. Also, I heard from someone that it may be the theft sensor, since the battery was disconnected

So they do not know why it will not start, OK. Crank sensor would certainly do that. The issue at hand seems to be that the engine will not crank, to proceed please send the last 7 of the VIN for identification purposes.
