My ABS fault indicator is on. I have diconnected the power to reset the computor. It reset to normal for a while and now the fault indicator is back on again.

I was informed it may be a valve problem. I think it could be something simpler. What tests can I perform to properly diagnose the problem?

DSC issues scanned generically can be misleading. I recommend seeking someone with the proprietary BMW software to pinpoint the faults and then repost with the results. If the fault is for a pressure sensor or steering angle, that may be addressed as needed. If the fault presents with front wheel speed sensor faults, it has been my experience that the DSC control module has an internal failure and will require replacement/recoding to the car. I request you take this a step at a time, my advice on this matter is from long experience and I am only able to render this diagnosis from cyberspace, so please do not rush into a slew of parts replacement until the root cause is known.
