On my 2002 BMW 525i I need to replace both outer seat trim pieces on the drivers's and passenger's front seats. They are both broken. Looking at the new pieces it looks like I have to remove the seat back trim and possibly the whole seat. Can you help with the easiest repalacement procedure? This is the panel the seat switches fit through.

Thanks DW

It takes a T-30 Torx driver and a small nail puller and the seat does not need to be removed. Start with removing the Torx bolts at the front of the seat and at the seat base(you will need to move the seat back into the reclined position) You have the replacement parts and can see where the attach points are, there are also two plastic "darts" that will need to be removed, one at the rear and one at the bottom.
