I just purchased a used 2007 bmw 3351 sedan with the sport package. (335i is not is your model line up). The tires on are staggered the front being 245/40 R18 and the rear being 275/35R18 will this effect the vehicle in anyway. When in motion
I hear a lot of road noise. I looked under the vehicle to see if the tires are rubbing against the body or show any signs of abnormal wear and there is none. The rims on the vehicle are OEM 18". I spoke with BMW and they stated that if the vehicle does not have run flat tires they are not the original tires. I checked the tires and they are indeed are run flat tires. These are the tires that came on the vehicle, but are not the recommended size as suggested in the owners manual. Also the tire manufacturer is Dunlop. Any suggestion or advise would be helpful. Thanks in Advance.

I purchased the vehicle in Marietta GA at Select Luxury Auto Dealership. I ran a CarFax and vehicle was in excellent condition. I also drove vehicle from Atlanta GA to New York without any problems. I manage to find the original owner who stated the tires are the originals that came on the vehicle when she purchased the vehicle new.

Run flats are notoriously noisy tires. Dunlop makes some good tires, however I have seen many unhappy people complaining about their brand new car with less than 15000 miles wearing the stock Dunlop tires completely out. BMW has a bulletin for the replacement of the original tires made by Dunlop and will not apply to your car because of the different than stock sizes installed. Stock would be 225-40/18 front and 255-35/18 rear. There are other tire makers that you might consider, I am a big fan of Yokohama tires.
