I have a 1999 bmw 328i and I started having a problem with it and I wonder if you could help me with it hopefully is somthing that I can fix my self well the problem is that some times when i'm driving on the instrument panel I get a light simbol that looks like a small gear with a ! In the middle and the ingen sounds ruff if I come to a complet stop the car is slow when I start to go agein can you help me with this hope that you can help me with this thank you verry much

The system that is illuminating that warning lamp is the EGS, in short, the transmission electronics. There will be a retrievable code, it can tell us want the problem might be. A generic OBDII scan might not be comprehensive, it may require a GT-1 or autologic the find this fault.
