the electric motor for the seat back drivers side does not move the seat back, it went to the rearward position, and would not return. The switch and motor are functioning. What are some possible causes and /or fix's.

There is a plastic gear in the seat back actuator that fails, the seat can be repaired, do you feel up to the task?
