In need of details on how to replace the Fan Blower Resistor on a 2002 BMW 325i (pictures or drawings)? Also, if I am unable to replace, how many hours should I expected to be billed for?

Thanks.

The final stage is fairly easy to replace, a Torx driver, T-20 and Phillips screwdriver will be needed. Remove the glove box, there are four screws holding the pivot point, remove them and the plastic plates. Then the tethers can be released by pushing the pins out and the glove box set aside. Remove the glove box housing, I pretty sure there are six screws. It sometimes takes a firm tug to get it loose. There is a door actuator that the directions say you have to take out, I don't, just release the screws and pull it out of the indexing slot, being careful not to disturb the actuator arm. Then the final stage unit, there is a screw holding it in, release it and a plastic tab (to keep it steady) and out it comes. Reverse the procedure for reassembly and you have just saved yourself the 1.5 hours or so that the job can and has sold for.
