2002 325i air conditioner

55,000 miles, 6 cyl engine The air conditioner works fine when it works, but the compressor only comes and goes. Been checked, everything OK - fluids OK, compressor good, but doesn't always stay on. In HOT HOT HOT area, need it to work - any ideas?

The IHKA system for climate control in your car can be interrogated with a scan tool.I would begin with faults set in that system and possibly recoding the IHKA. It may require replacement of components. Repost with your Email address if this does not help and I will contact you.
