My bmw e46 325 doesn`t start first time during the day, I have to keep the key turning for about 30 sec before the engine fires up. The starter motor spins and the engine turns over but dont start staightway, only does it during the day when the engine is warm. In the cold morning starts ok. Every time after starting it smells like unburnt fuel. Any help?

Long crank times can indicate a failed camshaft/crankshaft sensor. Fault extraction would be the next step I would take.

You may not be able to get any manufacturer fault codes without the proprietary BMW software/scanning equipment. It is accessed through the 20 pin diagnostic connector under the hood.
