1995 BMW 325 Help please!

HAve you checked the oil level?

I didn't really need the drama, it was just a simple question.

I asked because you said this:

my bmw has a knocking sound and its getting worse. I just had the oil changed a week ago. I hope the motor is not just tired please tell me it still has life left in her.

You didn't change. You didn't say the knocking was there prior to the oil change, You didn't say you checked the oil level.

There are quick change places that screw up and don't put enough oil in it.

So the logical question was: "Did you check the oil level"?

Since I can't hear the noise, I have to start somewhere.

A lifter is more of a ticking kind of noise. That would come from the top of the engine. If it's a knocking sound, it would be from the lower part of the engine generally a bearing problem.
