1993 BMW 325 Timing chain

I inherited this car from another shop. Head was already off so I had sent it to a very reputable machine shop for complete everything. Installed it but now the timing chain seems to be hitting the case when accelerating or in park at 1500 rpm's, but its not. Rechecked timing and vanos and the chain has slight looseness on slack side so I reinstalled the cam gears to tighten but the chain still gets slack about a half link after I roll the engine by hand

Did you replace the tensioner?

No I did not replace the tensioner. All it is. Is a spring and plunger. Let me check on the clearance and i'll get back to you. Thanks for the lead. But I really think its doing its job but i'm going there this morning and I will let u know. This car is being a b.
