I Have been working on this car for awhile now, It recently had a major oil leak on the spark plugs and I have replaced the crank position sensor and oil filter. But now my car while accelerating I hold the gas down and it ether stops completely like it had died and then starts back up again or while in Idle I push the gas for a second and I let go of the gas and the gas pedal keeps Reving itself without my doing, I have been told the fuel pump may be dieing, But it sounds like it is running perfectly.

What was the reasoning for the replacement of the position sensor? It sounds like it has developed an intake manifold leak.

After the oil leak in the spark plug tubes the car would not start, My coils were not getting any power I was told this was a normal problem withe position sensor after replaceing my car did start right up.

Thank you. The possibility of the fuel pump as the driveability problem is certainly high, check the fuel pump delivery and pressure.
