Hi Sirs.
The engine idles hi-lo, hi-lo, and rough when engine is either cold and hot.
i disconnected the wire to the idle control valve, engine went to about 1500 rpm and then hi-lo, hi-lo but not rough, as soon I connected the wire back, it back to the same problem.
i suspect is the idle control valve, but would like to be sure, how can I check it with ohm meter, and what it should read on the ohm meter.
Thank you.

To test an idle you need a wired harness that is dealer only the best thing to do is pull the valve off and spray some contact cleaner in it and blow it out til its dry and see if problem still exists, if so replace the valve.

I did just that, and I make it sure there are no air, fuel leaks any where.I'm just going to replace the valve.

The car may be in need of an idle control unit and an idle control valve.

Also the correct valve lash is important as is the plug gap and the correct plugs. State of tune is a factor.
