Where is the ALDL connector for a 1987 325i?

There isn't one. There is a data plug underhood, access to the logic from the diagnostic connector is dependent on the model and also the method or fault extraction. The underhood plug might be a round black plastic screw top 20 pin about 3" in diameter or a smaller "D" type plug for the older cars.
