1994 BMW 318 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

The trunk on my car basically locks when I lock the car doors or when I lock the trunk myself. Something must have come loose on the inside of the trunk and I cannot get in. The key doesnt work on it or anything. Is there and other way of gettin in it.

When you insert the key into the trunk's lock cylinder, does it feel loose or can you feel the tumblers being moved? If it feels lose then it is probably the problem and you could just bust it out since it will need replaced anyway. Otherwise, remove the back seats, crawl through the trunk and use a pair of pliers to grab and twist the lock rod that goes through the trunk lock.
