My dad gave me a 1994 BMW 318i with 72,000 km for graduation. The car is awesome and I love driving it but its got a few little issues. Sometimes when I start it up, it tries to stall out. Sometimes by using the accelorator I can keep it from doing so. Also sometimes when I come to a stop while still in drive the car rpms will fluctuate oddly. Also while driving my gas gauge will read full one moment then jump over to empty then to full then maybe read accuratly for a moment then repeat (I use 92oct gas and tried fuiel injection cleaner) My e-brake light and seat-belt light remain on gauge cluster at all times and I attempt changing fuses and disconnecting battery and reconnecting. Please help me!

The crankcase vent valve is suspect, part# 11-15-7-501-567 and is available from Realoem. Com There is also an exploded view so you can see where it goes. As to the fuel gauge issue, there are some things to check, disconnect the fuel tank senders and see if the light goes out first, if it does, it might be a sender issue, if not it may be an internal instrument cluster fault.
