1992 BMW 318 No air coming out of defrost vents

I have no heat coming out of defrost vents can anyone help. and the heat that does come out is poor and not very fast either.

Though of replacing the entire climate control box but not sure how to do this any suggestions?

This seems as if there is a problem with the heater control valve. look under hood for the valve in line with the coolant hoses to the firewall. turn the heater on and see if the hoses get hot. they fail quite often on the older cars
