1992 BMW 318 Grinding or Ratteling

Out of no where i start to pull out and by 2nd gear i start to hear a grinding or ratteling noise. I can feel it in the steering as well, the car doesn't make the noise unless in motion. No clicking so i assumed the cv joints are o.k. The closest sound i can relate it to is a can scraping under the car. What could be the problem?

This will require an inspection of the vehicle because it is not possible to accurately diagnose noises from cyberspace, and it might be hazardous to you and/or the car as well.
