Oil looks like chocolate milk and I was wondering if the motor has blown? And if it did does the replacement engine have to be for a 2006 Chevy Suburban 2500 6.0? If it does not specifically have to be that motor, what year, make, and model vehicles could I get an engine out of to replace the blown one?

Good afternoon,

Yes, I would consider replacing the motor. The coolant in the oil will cause the bearings to fail. That would require an engine overhaul.

As far as the motor, try to keep it as close to the 96 as possible. The basic 6.0 block is the same for years but the worst you would have to do is change over the externals from your bad motor to the donor motor.

Go to www. Car-part. Com and they will list the yards and prices in your area.
