No heat going to the front windshield. Heat goes to the cabin, so I have heat. Where is the blend door actuator located?

Good afternoon,

This sounds like a mode door actuator, not a blend door.

I attached the procedure and a picture for you below for the process.

There is no calibration as the new cars do not require it.

So will I be accessing the mode door actuator from the driver's side? It sort of looks like it from the diagram.

No, not at all. It is all done from under the left side of the dash.

I attached a YouTube video for you to view.

You said that I would be accessing it from the driver's side, but the video shows all the work being done from the passenger side under the glove box. It is being done on a 2011. My car is a 2015 Malibu. There is metal framework that keeps me from readily accessing anything behind the glovebox. When you say from the left side of the car, do you mean driver side or passenger?

Drivers side. It is on the drivers side of the dash.

Sorry, the video is for the blend door which is on the passenger side.

How do you remove the floor air outlet duct? In the directions you sent, it said to refer to the Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side. I was hoping that there would be a link to the directions when I clicked on it.

It has a clip or a small screw to remove it. It takes about 5 minutes to remove.

I attached a picture for you to view.
