I have a 2015 Versa Note with manual transmission and ordinary ignition key and need to replace the battery. What battery do I need? Does the 2015 Versa have multiple different batteries depending on the transmission? What is the difference between the batteries? I was told that using the incorrect battery would result in the Engine Fail light to remain on. No help from the Owner's Manual re type of battery. Thanks for any help.

Hello,

I have included in the diagrams and a guide down below your vehicle's battery specifications and the removal and installation instructions along with the necessary relearning procedures. Please go through these guides and get back to us with how everything turns out.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Thanks,

Many thanks for the information. From my reading it looks like battery replacement is not a simple remove the old and drop in a new one. This looks to me like it needs to be done by someone who knows what they are doing. I wasn't aware that relearning was necessary. Is the battery change something that my local AutoZone or Firestone store could be expected to do correctly, or is it a Nissan shop matter? Thanks again.

Hello again,

The local AutoZone will install the battery for you and I bet if you asked nicely and had the relearn procedure printing there for them, you could probably get them to do it for you, but no guarantees. If you follow the directions, it is something that you can do with no special tools or equipment. I made sure to send the instructions that do not require the use of Nissan's code reader/PCM interface called the Consult. Please get back to us with how everything goes.

Thanks,
Alex
