Hello, I have a question for you all. First off, I have a 2015 Chevy Spark, 1.2L engine, Automatic Transmission, A/C, 72,620 miles on it. There is something draining the car battery down overnight. I can charge the battery up with my battery charger, hook up the battery cables and the car will start right up. If I leave the battery cables hooked up over night, the next morning, there is not enough juice in the battery left to start the car. But if I take the battery cables off the battery for overnight, and then in the morning put the battery cables back on the battery, the car will start right up. I have left the battery cables off of the battery for as long as two(2) weeks before hooking them back up to the battery and the car will start right up. Any ideal what could be causing this? The battery is only six(6) months old. Thank You for any ideals that might help me get this fixed.

Yep, you have a drain for sure, I have seen the AC clutch relay stick on and drain the battery down on these cars, so lets remove it to see if the drain goes away. Also, this guide can help as well. Can ask of the car has an after market radio?

Here is the location of the A/C compressor relay. Check out the images (below). Ken

Hello, I am sorry for being late getting back to you on my car question. My wife passed away back in December, between trying to take care of our estate, lawyers, and car trouble I have been running here and there. Back to the car. The Chevy Spark Fuse Box doesn’t show an A/C RELAY. I am enclosing photo for you to look at. I will be waiting to hear back from you. To answer your question about the radio, the answer is no. Thanks Again for all the help you can give me.

I am sorry to hear about your wife, here is the location of the relay, if the relay is warm, (battery connected) this is your problem. Ken

Hello 2Car Pro, Sorry for getting back to you late on our 2015 chevy spark. With my wife’s passing back in december 26, I have been kept busying getting our estate finish up. I did want you told me to do on the a/c relay. No luck there, I guess that I finally got mad, with everything going on right now, so this is what I ended up doing. One by one I pulled each relay, checked the pins, then push each relay back in, after I did this, I pulled each fuse, checked the pins, then push each fuse back in. I don’t know what happened or what change took place after doing this, but the car is now starting every day and the battery is staying charged. Any ideal what happened, I have none, but the car is working great.
