I stored my car over the winter and when I tried to start it the battery was dead. I tried to open the hood to charge the battery and hood and trunk locked down and can't open. I purchased a trickle charger to try and charge through cigarette lighter as porche had suggested, but when I put the trickle charger on the car just beeps continuously like when you use a remote started. I don't have a remote started, so not sure what's wrong or that is typical when charging.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a trickle charger it may take a day to charge the battery IF the battery didn't freeze solid and won't charge. So try it either latertoday like after dinner or tomorrow if it doesn't work then the battery is shot and you'll have to see if a mechanic can get to it.
