So, I just got this vehicle and honestly don't quite know how everything works or turns on and off. I ended up having to wait several hours in 20-degree weather, fell asleep and I think maybe left my fog lights on or something? I had also been messing around with the navigation cdrom drive trying to get it to read the disk. But sure, if that affected anything. Anyway, when I went to start the car, it tried to turn over and failed. I couple miss quick attempts showed weakening response, so I stopped messing with it. Interior and dash lights came up no problem, door locks, windows and power seats worked fine. A friend came to jump me in his early 2000 Saturn four door sport sedan car. We hooked up cables (I didn't know about the ground) we just used the negative terminal. When I went to turn it over it now has Zero power, like nothing.
Can't roll up widow, no lights, can't shift, nothing. The Saturn's battery is very unusual and small seeming to me. I looked at Manuel and forums and it seems maybe I need a bigger battery and a booster?

Hello,

Just to clarify, when you tried to jump start it, it did not start?
Take a look at this guide, it covers the best practices of jump starting:

From what you are describing, the issue is likely a bad battery. As you mentioned something probably stayed on and drained the battery. Also given the cold weather it does not help in this case, if the battery was weak to begin with.

Please let me know if you are able to jump the vehicle or if you had the battery charged or tested.

Thank you.
