Well my electrical went hay wire, then all my gauges went out, no power, so turned off vehicle and it would not restart, no click, no power, nothing. Put in new battery and new alternator, drove around block, lost all electrical again, turn off truck and will not start again and no power, nothing. 40 amp fuse under hood is blown. What is wrong? Checked battery amps, all is good. Help, please.

Which fuse? Follow wires to where they are connected in diagram then see if there is a short causing it could be ignition switch or a direct short.

It is the 40 amp #1 stud fuse. Would that cause no power or crank what so ever?

Yes, because yo are not getting power to either ignition switch to work or starter relay. If either one does not get any power it is not going to start.
