The vehicle listed above will start and turn over and then sometimes it just will just click and won't start; like last night me and my kids went to get in the car and go to see the fireworks and it wouldn't start, the battery had drained. It wouldn't turn over and, then this morning I got in and it turned right over, backed it up and left it on for a minute to charge the battery, turned it off and it won't start again. It turns on the headlight and interior light switch and it's all backwards now. I've used three different batteries, the second one I put in for a couple of days or two. That one was fine took it out of a GMC pickup and then the other one I'm having it right now is from a Subaru. So, my question is, is it wiring or could it be something else?

This is common when the IPM goes out I have seen this issue before, but to be sure let's do a CAN scan which is the future of automotive repair you can get a CAN scanner from Amazon for about $30.00 here is a video to show you how and a link to a scanner from Amazon. I have included the instructions on how to change it out in the diagrams below, it is easy because it-self initializes.

and

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.
