Hey, I pressed in my new Moog ball joints and the nipple is a bit off, where it should be? Can I press it out and back in straight? Or with the hole in the control arm be to stretched out?

Good afternoon,

You can press it out and back in again. No harm will be done unless you use a torch to heat it up.

Thanks. I used a small propane torch, and ball joint press, and a hammer to press out the old ones. I Didn’t get it that hot. You think it’s still okay?

Heat weakens the metal. Keep an eye on it to be sure the joint doesn't move.

Okay. Thank you for your prompt reply. So should I just draw a line then on the ball joint and control arm and just check after a couple days of driving and every once in a while?
