I had a car wash today and several spots on the inside of my car were left quite wet. Most just dried up and were fine but the central arm rest in the front (it is cloth) was left stained. I was unable to take it back today and I am going out of town until Monday. I plan to take it back on Monday and tell them to clean it. I have no idea how water made it dirty. I called the manager about this and he expects to see me on Monday. Is this something that can likely be cleaned?

That is such a tough question since it would take a experienced detailer to see and then make a decision on if it might be possible. They should take care of it for you if they are a reputable place.

What I was wondering (even if it is a tough question) is would not something like shampooing take most things out? They claim to use only water and Windex.

Also, how do I know that they will believe that the dirty area was caused by them? I suppose someone who is not honest could go to a place like that and then claim that the car wash caused it. That is not the case here but how do I know they will believe me? Also if the past is any indication then I am concerned. I have been giving this place a lot of business and once they damaged the "Elantra" sign on my floor mat although it was slight. They refused to do anything other than to give me the number of the owner in New York and I am in Florida. This is one store. Not a chain. Do I have reason to be worried or perhaps it will just simply come out. That would be best. Any opinions?

Your asking a lot of tough questions no one can answer will they believe you but them. Sounds like they might not stand behind there errors. None of us on this site are detailers that I am aware of. So again cannot really say if a stain will or wont come out. Also cannot answer for someone else if they will believe you or not or even want to make it right and fix the stain. I am sorry that is the most honest answer I can give you. If they do not take car of it you can get a car detailer to look at it. Or take them to small claims court.
