CJ MEDEVAC, Thank you for the whole diagram. I will need to study it close, but at quick glance I did not see the backup light switch. My vehicle was stripped of the wires to and from the backup light switch by the previous owner, so I need some help. I do not know where the wire would come from and where it might tie in. The switch sits right on top of the transmission. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The big question here is:

Found another diagram.

Remember I cannot draw a white wire (on a white background) so the black one is really white.

Send picture of your Baby (yes your Jeep), we like to see them.

Been working hard on my 1946 Willy's (refresh paint and insignia), still need to replace the passenger glass (broke by an idiot), exhaust gasket, recover my seats. "Willy" will be really happy then. Meanwhile, "Mr. Jeep" (1977 CJ5) still gets me around.

Your turn,

Can you see it or do I need to chop it up?

I cannot read it when I zoom in on it. Can you send it in a higher resolution?

Much better. I am a beginner, so I am going to need to study this in front of the problem. What does the red wire tie to and what are the two things just before the switch that the green and white wires tie to?

This is all very helpful. Just wish I had more time to spend in the garage. What is the vertical bar with six cylinder above it? I assume it is the block of wires on the firewall?

That is the engine compartment wiring on the left side.

Rectangle is the firewall.

Right side is the cockpit wiring.

Keep stuff rolling in!
