My car listed above EX model has been slipping gears for some time and has just recently been slamming from 1st to 2nd and its playing havoc on my motor mounts. I have tried just about every remedy and transmission cure all in a can that there is, every brand. I have spent countless hours late at night on the web doing as much research as humanly possible and found out that unfortunately the B7XA transmission model was deemed ‘unserviceable’ as far as changing out the filter because the filter is completely internal and the whole transmission would need to be dropped and separated from the driveline this affects the years1998-2006 Accord EX. There was however a brief recall on this issue but Honda would only honor the recall if you had 80,000 miles or less which most people don’t start experiencing these problems until somewhere around 120,000 miles which left a lot of owners with a foul taste in their mouths about their Honda Accords and leaving some owners to either come out of pocket thousands of dollars to replace the transmission or just get rid of their Honda all together, but because of this now widely known problem it has brought the sales down of these particular cars which I personally happen to love my Honda (except for the transmission) she is a beautiful car and the motor is still so strong even after all these years, I want to keep her but I really need some help, any suggestions? I am open. Thanks, worried in Wellton, AZ.

This can be one of two things either you have an accumulator spring that has broken, in which case the transmission will need to come out, or the counter shaft sensor is not working correctly, which will not leave a code for. Here is the location of the counter shaft so you can check it out in the images below.
