Engine is running when shift to reverse and drive not functioning. What seems to be the problem? Thanks.

Hello,

It sounds like you have a torque converter that is locked up not allowing the engine to freewheel. Or the torque converter control relay is shorted out or broken. Not allowing the converter to disengage. I would pull out the relay and try and start the car to see what happens.

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken
