Is there a way to disable the automatic headlights? I prefer to control them the old fashioned way, via the switch. In this car I can keep them off with the parking brake when the car is first started, but once the brake is off, the lights, while dark out, stay on. How can I change this?

Well I did find a way, but there's a trade off. I could remove or modify the relay, but in turn, the "Service Vehicle Soon" light comes on. I was hoping for a more technical way.

Yeah, I looked at your wiring diagram earlier, I saw the same thing you did. Then, I thought unplugging the relays might cause other issues, like a trouble code might set. I decided to let somebody else talk to you.

In years past, the site didn't want moderators telling how to bypass anything. Just speaking for myself, w/o testing, I didn't know what would happen if you unplugged relays, trouble codes setting was my first thought.
I'm just killing time, I'm afraid I wasn't much help. No offense, other than a factory set-up, I won't talk to you. Even If I knew how to do it, which at the moment, I don't.

I understand. Just thought it was worth a shot. I'll keep researching this. I'm sure there's a way. A co-worker of mine made a suggestion. I'll probably dig into that soon. Will post here whether it works or not and if it works, I might say what the idea was.
