Hey am Tito, just found this site and really into it hoping to find a solution to my problem. :). I just bought a 1993 audi 80 2.0 E, and have and abs problem, my mechanic says there was a part he was to replace at the time I took it for a test drive and the warning lamp was on. After he fixed it I took it for a test and everytime I came towards the traffic lights while braking slowly there came the abs pulses as if I were driving on ice, its sommer now and theres alot of traction is that normal?

Is the ABS light back on? Does it come on with the key on/engine off. Does the steering wheel move back and forth, if it does its warped rotors

Thanks for 2CarPro Jack for your response, sorry for the delay in responding. the problem is still there, kind of grew into it, but the steering doesn't shake it comes on n off the last time i had it checked the mechanic said i had to change the abs ring in the rear axle as a temporary solution he sanded or adjusted the sensors around for the Abs ring... haven't changed the ring yet as the problem pops up once in a fortnight... when it does besides pulsating it also sounds like a motor has turned on then off after i stop breaking or when i am turning at very low speeds.

also having a problem with performance every time i start the car regardless of the time in the first few minutes it idles erratically then dies when i start it again its fine, when i drive off it begins to surge even before i to 3rd gear i then depress the clutch and rev up then the problem disappears until the next time i have to start the car again whether its five minutes after or a day. of late i have experienced it surging while driving on the highway at a constant speed of 120kph. n when i get to slow down it has also begun to die out puzzled could it be spark plug lead cables changed the spark plugs 4 months ago fuel filter air filter i guess am just puzzled any assistance would be highly appreciated.

The culprits were worn out ABS rings at the rear axle.

Nice, so now its just the way it runs that is theproblem. Start with the plug wires, you need to make sure all the basic ignition is in good working order before trying to get into a deep diagnosis of why it doesnt run well. If they are easy to access, remove the plugs adninspect them when doing the wires to see if any one plug is darker or lighter than the rest. This could indicate an injector issue
