You most likely have leaky turbos. Also what are the codes?

Thanks Steve for your answer. I do not know much about the codes. Would you please tell me more about the codes? Would the turbos need to be replaced with a new one or repaired? Do I need to change the two turbos or just one. Thanks for your anticipated answers.

Sorry, I meant to say that you have an oil leak and it might be the turbo's. I know valve cover gaskets like to leak on those cars also. But you need to take it somewhere to verify. If you have the codes I can help. You need to take it to someone that can plug it in and see why your check engine light is on. Either a reputable shop or autozone can pull the codes for free.

Thanks Steve. The valve covers and vaccum has been checked by Midas and there is no leak. Another mechanic told me that the problem is with the turbocharger. He said the turbocharger once replaced, the check engine light and the oil smoke will stop. Could that be true. Thanks

It might very well clear everything up. If you had the code numbers I could tell you if the turbo charger might be a fault for the check engine light. If it is true that both turbo chargers are bad then I would replace both of them at the same time since the engine has to come out.

To get the code numbers you have to either 1)take it to a reputable shop or 2) take it to autozone and they will give you a free code read. Make sure you write down the code numbers and the description then repost. The code numbers are inside the Engine computer and you have to plug into the OBD2 port with a scanner to talk to the computer to retrieve them.

Thanks a lot Steve for your wonderful answers. I would need to take it to the autozone for diagnosis. Does the codes also tell whether I have one or whether I have two faulty turbo chargers? I wish it is just one bcos of repair costs.
