After I park my car for a long time, mainly at work for 8 or 9 hours in the hot sun, it is somewhat hard to start. It may take 2-3 seconds of cranking to start but right when it does start it is perfectly fine. And if I shut it off right after I get it started, it turns over immediately when re-started. It is turbocharged and I always allow it to cool down properly after driving so I dont think that can have anything to do with it. Why is this? And what can be checked or fixed?

I would check the mass airflow sensor first.

Just see if it impacts the car whether it is connected and then disconnect. You could try to use a shop vac and measure resistance values but I don't know of a table to compare it to. Have you checked the usual tune up routine lately (plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, etc.)
