2001 Audi A4 battery replacement

Ok I have an 01 audi a4 and I bought a new battery its a optima yellow top now since ive changed the car battery when I unlock doors and walk away after 2-3 minutes go by they lock themselves and before battery change if I left doors unlocked they would stay unlocked when I got out of car is there any way to change this cause my car is in my garage thats attached to my home and im always in and out when I forget things now they lock after a few minutes by themselves and never did this before

Hi there,

I would be thinking the the central locking will have to be re programed as you have lost it's memory when the battery was disconnected, I do believe that this is a job for a dealer, ring the dealership and inquire about this job. I will check it out and post if there is a simple re program for this as well.

Just a follow up, according to Mitchell 1 data base, this will have to be re programed with a factory scanner.
