Hi
Prob is ;Car power dies without warning. As it changes gears, gradually slows to halt. Had same prob with A6 Brake with similar engine--2.5 V6 Diesel Quattro. Had it in main dealers for 3 weeks. Said they repaired it and had replaced an electronic component in box. But afterwards the same symptom reappeared. Was ok after leaving to settle a while. At all times engine revs perfectly. Now have same prob with A4 2.5 V6 But Idoubt they ever actually identified source of fault with the A6. Surely this coincidence isnt unique to me with this engine/box?
Any ideas?

Hi Hilary,

Was the MIL showing when driving?

When vehicle slows down, does the engine respond to acceleration?

Did the engine stall?

According to Technical Service Bulletin regarding brakes, if you have the habit of resting your left foot on the brake pedal, it would cause the problem as braking would over ride accelerating because this is a fly by wire system.
