1999 Audi A3 reverse lights not working

Hello. My reverse lights are not working checked the bulb that is fine switch is fine. What else could it be? Is there wiring coming from the gear box that could be the problem?

Hi have you tried connecting the wires in the plug on the reversing light switch, this will tell you if the problem is in the wiring after the switch or in the switch /Gearbox. Is your switch in the plunger on top of the linkage or is it on the flat part of the casing. Are the other lights OK
