AC was blowing hot air. Express oil replaced valves and recharged. Told my wife that it might take a couple of days to start blowing cold again. Does that sound right? We have driven around stop and go plus highway since yesterday. Tepid air at best. Please advise.

Good morning.

No, If they repaired it properly, it should have blown cold air immediately. Take it back and either have them fix it correctly or get a refund and take it somewhere else that can fix it.

If you have a set of gauges, give me the pressures and I can help find the issue for you. You can rent a set at a parts store.

Okay, I understand.

Can you get a set of gauges?

Roy,
Good news! We took the continuing problem back to Express Oil, had a talk with the manager, told him what you said about the timeframe of AC repair results, and got the problem resolved at no charge. The system was over-charged. Thank you for your helpful advice!
