I have tried everything from key on until it stops to disconnecting the battery and even tried manually unlocking the drivers door. Sadly no luck. What am I suppose to do now?

Good morning,

The key has forgot the password for the system.

Ford does not allow anyone to reset that system. They have security measures to protect anyone from playing with it.

You need an IDS program with a security pass.

In your case, you can either have it towed to a dealer or have a locksmith come to you and program it.

Hi,

At this point, you need a scanner that can read codes related to the immobilizer. This way you can retrieve codes specific to the cause.

I wish I had an easier solution.

Take care,
Joe

Hi,

This could be a normal operation if the light is flashing every two seconds and goes away when you start your vehicle. Security system will also blips the theft indicator every two seconds at ignition "off" to act as a visual theft deterrent. If the vehicle doesn't start try relearning the key with the relearn procedure I attached below. Let us know if you need more info.

Thanks
Joe T.

There are a few scenarios and failure points to this system, the most common being the key itself. There is both a chip and an internal battery that can fail over time just due to age and or physical damage. Here is a job aid that identifies the key style and the specific system that your truck has. You'll have to right click, then enter it to a new tab to view. Hope this helps!

Once that light finally stopped rapidly blinking it does this; it blinks once and then six more times.

Finally took it to Ford. It started one day shocked me so drove it. $800.00 later they have me a 90% start and run that lasted a month. They put a new clock spring on then said the PCM was for a F150 and that's $800.00 more. So it's back to no crank.

Okay, I would question why they did not find this when you had it there originally.

They charged you for a diagnostic so they should have seen this as part of the diagnostic.

I have called them and they said bring it in and they would look at it again and charge me. If I could bring it in I wouldn't need to. Lol

If the ECM was not replaced, did you have any work done where they put the wrong in?

They stated they disconnected the anti theft module and it starts. I would have them disconnect it and leave it that way until you get the correct ECM and have it programmed.

I got it used so I'm sure that's possible. I had a fuel pump replaced twice and a fuel filter done as well. I will call on Monday and see what they say and the fee. Don't feel like I should pay one. However I am trying to get the PCM.
