Alternator replacement procedure

What do I need to remove to replace the alternator? I don't see those many videos online. It looks like a really bad location for an alternator.

Hello,

Removal procedure.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect the wind shield wiper transmission link in front of the wiper motor and position out of the way.

3. Rotate the engine forward refer to rotating the engine for service access.

4. Remove the drive belt.

5. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the generator. See fig1 below.

6. Reposition the positive battery cable boot at the generator terminal.

7. Remove the positive battery terminal nut at the generator.

8. Remove the positive battery cable terminal from the generator. See fig2 below.

9. Remove the generator lower bolts. See fig3 below

10. Remove the generator upper bolt.

11. Remove the generator. See fig 4 below.

Installation is the reverse order of the removal.

Tighten generator bolts 50NM (37lbft)
