The test I have performed indicates that I have a bad rectifier pack in my alternator. This is a non-serviceable unit. Looking at Fordparts.com website it suggest replacing the unit with a 115 amp alternator, fine. But, it also says that this unit is the same as a 130 Amp alternator.

My question is: If I replace the original unit with a 130 amp alternator would I comply with the wiring gauge rating of my truck?
